Supervisor Don Clavin and the Hempstead Town Board are notifying restaurants operating within the Town of Hempstead of available grant funding through a New York State supported program for certain eateries negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The grants – made possible through the state-supported Raising the NYS Bar Restaurant Recovery Fund – allow for small businesses who meet the below listed criteria access to upwards of $5,000 in funding that can be used in support of social distancing compliant improvements, outdoor dining accommodations, expansion of take-out/delivery operations, etc.
