The Town of Hempstead’s prime waterfront location is just one of the many reasons why the Town of Hempstead is the best place to live, work and raise a family. Nestled comfortably along the Atlantic Coast, our township is fortunate to have over 17,000 acres of beautiful wetlands and 180 miles of pristine coastal waterways.
Our Department of Conservation and Waterways is dedicated to preserving these waterways and wetlands, including the ocean, bays and canals. Our waterways are patrolled by Hempstead Town Bay Constables, who enforce all conservation and navigation laws—ensuring smooth sailing for fishers and recreational boaters.
Please keep this convenient tide table handy as it provides the high tide times for 2020. For more information, please call the Department of Conservation and Waterways at (516) 897-4100, (516) 431-9200 or visit www.HempsteadNY.gov.
