Adoption Information

The Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter boasts one of the highest adoption rates in the nation. Come tour the Animal Shelter, meet a dog or cat, and bring the love of a pet into your home. All adopted pets will be spayed or neutered, will receive required inoculations and will be microchipped. These are included in adoption fees. Although the shelter evaluates pets for behavior and general health, we remind you that pets are adopted at your own risk and that newly adopted pets should be examined by your own veterinarian. Please view the adoptable pets from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter below.
