Currently the Federal Government is taking 14-16 weeks to process Passport applications (7-9 weeks if expedited). Despite that, Hempstead Town continues to accept passport applications BY APPOINTMENT ONLY Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:45 PM, with late nights on Thursdays until 7 PM (excluding holidays). Please call the Hempstead Town Clerk's Passport Office at 516-812-3100 to schedule your appointment. It is also important to note that many countries will not allow a Passport that expires within six months of travel to be used for entrance, so it is important to check those requirements if your Passport is near expiration.
