The Town of Hempstead will once again be partnering with Atlantic Marine Conservation Society (AMSEAS) to host monthly beach cleanups at Town beaches. Volunteers can participate in 1.5 hour time slots to help clean our community beaches from trash and marine debris.
Volunteers will learn how to quantify and report data on debris collected to be reported to NOAA (National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration). Clean-up supplies will be provided, but it is recommended that participants bring their own gloves.
