As Hempstead Town continues to lead the region’s economic recovery, Supervisor Don Clavin is inviting area job seekers to connect with local employers and explore professional opportunities at the Town of Hempstead’s upcoming Job Fair. The Job Fair, organized by the Town of Hempstead Department of Occupational Resources in partnership with the Village of Freeport, will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2022 at the Freeport Recreation Center, located at 130 E. Merrick Road, Freeport, NY 11520. General admission will open at 10:30 am with the Job Fair concluding at 3 pm. There will also be a special veterans-only session from 10 am to 10:30 am where those who have served our nation in the armed forces may meet with employers at the Job Fair prior to the opening of general admission. Supervisor Don Clavin made the announcement in conjunction with Senior Councilwoman Dorothy Goosby, Councilman Anthony D’Esposito, Councilman Dennis Dunne, Sr., Councilman Thomas Muscarella, Councilman Christopher Carini, Councilwoman Missy Miller as well as Town Clerk Kate Murray, and Receiver of Taxes Jeanine Driscoll.
“As we continue our robust economic recovery here in the Town of Hempstead, it is vitally important that local government continues to facilitate job growth, and that includes connecting job seekers with eager employers,” said Clavin. “I encourage all my Hempstead Town neighbors seeking their next career move to visit the Job Fair and explore the professional opportunities available right here in our community.”
Dozens of area employers will have a presence at the Town of Hempstead Job Fair, ranging from local hotels, utility companies, universities, and law enforcement agencies. The attendance of the many job providers at the fair is demonstrative of the township’s strong economic footing and the business-friendly environment fostered by the Town of Hempstead.
“With our diverse workforce and business-friendly municipal government, the Town of Hempstead is an ideal place for professionals interested in advancing their careers as well as businesses seeking a solid locale to open up shop,” said Clavin.
