Mother’s Day /Tribute Day to LI Women

Thursday, May 19, 2022

Time: 8:30 AM – 7:15 PM (approx.)

“Nothing will work unless you do” said Maya Angelou. Together, with our LI Tour Guide, we “do” venture out on the South Shore to the Montauk Lighthouse, which was saved from falling into the ocean by a woman. On the way out we stop in Babylon to hear about a Babylon suffragette, move on to Islip to hear about women who conquered, continue on to stop on Main Street Patchogue where you can enjoy lunch on you own.  Meet the Town Historian for onboard special talk.

Then relax on the motor coach as we take a ride out to “the end” of South Fork, where you will get to visit the renovated Montauk Lighthouse. Remember to Visit the tribute room dedicated to Georgina Reid before heading home.

Father’s Day/ Flag Day and LI Courage

Thursday, June 16, 2022

Time: 8:45 AM – 7:00 PM (approx)

“We are makers of History” and this adventure takes us back in time on the North Fork. With our LI tour guide we make our first stop at the Museum in Riverhead to view LI ‘s past. View the flag that might have influenced the design of the first American flag.  See the permanent exhibit. "Long Island in Conflict," It offers uniforms, weapons and contributions to our country's defense.”

We make a stop at a cute hidden park, a little treasure.  Then we pay “Tribute to the People Who Took Aviation from the Flight Deck of a Navy Carrier to Man's First Steps on the Moon”.

Our historian,  gives us a bus eye view of more of the history of Riverhead/Southold along the North Fork with a quick stop to view the Einstein Mural.

Then it’s off to Greenport, where you can spend some free time to explore and enjoy lunch on your own.   Leave a little room because we will be making a stop at a brewery for “a pint and a pretzel” before we head home.
